Chocolate Shakeology Mug Cake

Thursday, March 12, 2015

So I had a huge chocolate craving and was really wanting some cake.  I decided to try a microwave mug cake but not just any mug cake, one that I did not feel guilty about having!  Second attempt is a WINNER!!!

Grab your favorite mug and try these out, see which you like best.  Here is my favorite mug :)

First Attempt

In all honesty I could not eat it all it was very filling and a little dry so next time I will add a little more water/milk.

Ingredients:
1 Scoop of Chocolate Shakeology
1 Egg
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
dash of Salt
4 tbsp Water
1 tbsp Peanut Butter

Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together in your mug of choice.  Add in egg and water (or milk), mix it well so all of the ingredients are moist, add your scoop of peanut butter. Stick the mug in the microwave and cook for 90 seconds.  Take out and enjoy.

Second Attempt:

My FAVORITE, almost like a brownie consistency. Still eating it as I write this!

Ingredients:
1 Scoop of Chocolate Shakeology
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
6 Tsp Warm Water

Directions:
Melt Coconut Oil in microwave.  Grab your favorite mug, add your scoop of chocolate Shakeology mix your melted coconut oil as best you can and then slowly add in your warm water, mixing all 3 ingredients together.  Once they are mixed put your mug into the microwave and cook for 80 seconds.

Take the mug out of the microwave and you can enjoy right out of your cup. What I did was grab a knife and make sure the cake wasn't sticking to the sides of my mug and then dumped it onto a plate.  I added a couple of scoops of Greek yogurt and some berries!  Was delish!!

The Dress Doesn't Fit

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

I have honestly been scared to try my wedding dress on.  Thinking that I was never going to fit into it again and scared that maybe it would fit.

My husband and I got married 9 months after having our first baby girl. 9 months on 9 months off right? Nope, was not the case for me. When we first met I was around 130 pounds, during pregnancy I gained 80 pounds in not even 9 months. She was 3 weeks early and I topped the scales at 207 pounds when I had her.  That's right I said 207.

Needless to say I did Not lose all of my baby weight from our first pregnancy before we got married. (or even before our next pregnancy, which was a couple months shy of 2 years after the first pregnancy).

I haven't put this dress on since 2009...

I was going to wait until the summer to try it on again just to give myself those extra couple of months to make sure it fit.  Then we were at my moms house on the weekend and I just couldn't wait. I needed to see if THE DRESS was ever going to fit again.  So, I pulled it out of the closet and slid myself into it asking to have help to do it up, all while reminding myself that I had to wear Spanks with it on our wedding day.... and.....

Well I was BLOWN AWAY!!  Not only does it NOT FIT I can slip right out of it!!  I was more worried that it wouldn't fit because I hadn't reached those losses yet.  Totally thought it would go on but not actually do up.

So happy I ended up asking my husband "when are we getting married again?" and he jokes back "when you fit into your dress again" hahaha.

Are you ready to change your life?  Don't be shy, I want to help you!
Send me an Email. I would love to get to know you and learn your goals!
