My Story:
A little over a year ago I had a career in the big city. I went to school and went into debt for that career because I believed that it was going to be something that I really truly loved. And you know what… it was good… I had good benefits, made a decent wage, moved around and was able to find jobs easily in the different cities where we had moved. The problem with the career I chose was that it was stressful, it was demanding, it took me away from my house, kids and husband for hours because of the distance it was to get to and from work. Yes, I did have holidays and personal days BUT I worked Christmas vacation because there were deadlines that could not be missed. I worked while my family missed me and I missed them. I came home stressed and took that out on my family. So after 10 years of being tired, stressed, full of anxiety and depressed, I was put off work by my doctor.
I knew there had to be something more to life. There was something BIGGER out there for me! One day I was scrolling my Facebook news-feed and came across a post very similar to the one you are reading right now and I thought to myself “WHY NOT ME!”. At first I started this because my health was not getting any better with what I was doing or the medication I was on, the depression and anxiety was getting worse. So it was time to take a chance and do something for me. Little did I know that it was going to turn into something SO much bigger!
I had dreamed of working from home so I could be present in my girls’ life as they grow so WHY NOT ME. Those around me were growing their own businesses and pursuing their dreams, travel, vacation, spending so much time with their babies; WHY couldn't that be ME! I knew something in my life needed to change and that day, that post, that little message changed our lives forever!!
Not only have I been able to get off of my medication, I am at HOME with my girls! I no longer work in the Big City!
